Isabelle Riche

Isabelle Riche is a Canadian composer and artist originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland. Isabelle has a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Kings College and Dalhousie University. She is acquiring her Masters in Music Composition at Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavík Iceland. Isabelle has a background in piano and organ.

She has studied under composers Jérôme Blais, Thurídur Jónsdóttir and Pétur Ben. She has worked as a film composer and sound designer for the National Film Board of Canada.Isabelle’s compositions have been performed by ensembles: The Maritime Brass Quintet, Orkest De Ereprijs in the Netherlands, and pianist Esmée Gilbert. Her music has also been workshopped by Symphony Nova Scotia and the Striggi String Quartet..Isabelle has also provided a broad range of visual artwork for theatrical posters & print.

She is looking forward to being able to share her expertise with students of all ages. Older teens and adults looking to explore composition and music theory in their lessons are in good hands with Isabelle. However, Isabelle is also great for students just starting out on their instrument.
