The Out Loud Choir Experience

Out Loud Choir is a queer-centred community choir that celebrates self-expression, connection, and the power of singing together. Open to LGBTQIA2S+ folks and allies of all experience levels, this ensemble welcomes anyone who wants to raise their voice—whether you’ve sung in choirs your whole life or have never sung in public before.

There are no auditions, no sheet music requirements, and no expectations beyond showing up as you are. Out Loud Choir is a joyful, low-pressure space where we explore vocal technique, harmony, and musical storytelling through a wide range of repertoire—spanning pop, indie, folk, musical theatre, and more.

Each term builds toward a relaxed final performance, but the heart of the program is about community. Weekly rehearsals are designed to uplift, energize, and provide space for authentic connection and self-discovery through music.

If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming place to sing out loud and be yourself, Out Loud Choir is here for you.

She moved to Nova Scotia in July 2020 where she attended the CBBC Career College in Downtown Dartmouth, earning her education as an Educational Assistant. Bringing her love of homemade pirogies and honey dill, she has made Halifax her home – aiming to build community both through affordable musical education and mental health care.

Her influences range from classical, pop, hard rock, gospel, punk, and so much more.
