Reagan Mae Kuzyk

Choir Director

Reagan Mae Kuzyk is a singer-songwriter originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She moved to Nova Scotia in July 2020 where she attended the CBBC Career College in Downtown Dartmouth, earning her education as an Educational Assistant. Bringing her love of homemade pirogies and honey dill, she has made Halifax her home – aiming to build community both through affordable musical education and mental health care.

Reagan currently serves as Vice-President and Director of Community Engagement at Ekko. She teaches voice and piano, as well as both the Ekko Kids Choir and the Out Loud Choir. Outside of EPAS, she also works as the Billing Coordinator at Diverse Roots Therapy, and is the front-woman of a local alt rock band – Montgomery Night.

Reagan strives to uphold a student led approach in her lessons and groups, and welcomes folks to work with her regardless of age, ability, or skill level. Everyone is welcome. Her influences range from classical, pop, hard rock, gospel, punk, and so much more. She believes in gender-affirming vocal instruction, and can help those navigating vocal care, injury, and recovery. Reagan also has extensive experience working with individuals living with intellectual and physical disabilities, and extra challenges.

“Come as you are, whoever you are, wherever you are.”
