Reagan Mae Kuzyk

Reagan is a piano and voice instructor, and is also a songwriter. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, she moved to the Halifax area in July 2020 and has since graduated from CBBC Career College in Dartmouth. Currently, she works as an Educational Program Assistant within the HRM.

Reagan has been teaching music for the past 6 years and has gained in depth experience working with students of all skill levels and ages. She has experience working with both male and female voices. Although classically trained, Reagan also has experience working with many vocal styles ranging from (but not limited to) classical, punk style, indie, pop, and jazz. As the director of the Ekko Community Choir and Ekko Kids Choir, Reagan brings a wide range of repertoire to the table.

Over the years, she has had the opportunity to share her music throughout a wide range of community music groups. Having been a part of the Canadian Mennonite University Singers, and the chamber choir at the University of Winnipeg, she brings a host of different training and techniques acquired from some of the best choral directors in Manitoba.

In 2019, she was honoured that one of her students won 1st place in the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Association’s Canada Music Week Student Composer Competition. Reagan has also worked with musicians who have sung alongside Lauren Daigle.

Reagan has extensive experience working with children and adults living with intellectual and learning disabilities and welcomes them to join her musical family. As an instructor, Reagan continues to further her musical knowledge and repertoire while focusing on mindfulness and a fun learning environment!
