About Jakob
Jakob Creighton is a voice teacher/coach as well as a working professional performer. He has taught Music and Drama in both English and French. Jakob holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from Université de Moncton (Moncton, NB and a Master of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (London, UK). He has trained with Estill Master Teacher, Nova Hughes, as well as Estill Master Course Instructor, Julie Cimon Racine, with Lisa Roy (Université de Moncton Voice Faculty), Monette Gould (former UdeM Voice Faculty), Robert Longo (Randolph College Voice Faculty member) and James Spilling (Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts Music Faculty).
He found his love of performing at a young age, grew up performing in theatre, and had his professional début in 2015. He has performed in various productions ranging from opera to Gilbert & Sullivan to musical theatre as well as film and television. Jakob is also a member of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Actors). Favourite stage productions include: I’m Autistic: A New Musical (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025), Emma: No One But Herself, Mamma Mia (Mountview), Mary Poppins, Oliver! (Capitol Theatre), Daphnis et Chloé, Le Nozze di Figaro, Dido and Aeneas (Université de Moncton), Next to Normal (Saints Alive! Theatre Society), among many others. Jakob has also appeared on Canadian television in Diggstown (season 3) and, most recently, Sullivan’s Crossing (season 1), which aired in the US in October 2023.
